Welcome to Saratoga Springs Figure Skating Club!

Club Membership

The Saratoga Springs Figure Skating Club (SSFSC) is dually affiliated with the Ice Skating Institute (ISI) and the United States Figure Skating Association (USFS/USFSA).  An individual who joins the SSFSC joins as an ISI member.  Subsequently, any member has the option of joining USFS listing SSFSC as its home club.
Club membership is on an annual basis. The membership year runs from October 1 to September 30. A skater is allowed three buy-on sessions before becoming a full member. Subsequently, only skaters with current club memberships are permitted on club ice.

Membership Benefits

  • Option of joining the USFS at additional cost.

Fees

Club membership fees and ice fees are reviewed and established by the SSFSC Board of Trustees biannually prior to the October skating session and prior to the July skating session.

School Snow Days

Our rink may be open on days when school is cancelled due to weather.  If you have any questions about session cancellation due to inclement weather, call the rink 518-583-3462 for a recorded message; or contact your session supervisor.

Medical Excuses

Our club has traditionally given makeup credits on regular season ice for injury or extended illness.  These credits are given to skaters who miss five or more consecutive days of ice time and provide a medical excuse from a physician.  Makeup credits are to be used during the same season.  If a physician's note is given and states "Until further notice," an additional note must be given to allow skater back on the ice.  Please contact an Officer of the Board of Trustees to apply for makeup credits.

Information

Membership information and current club fees may be obtained by contacting an Officer of the Board of Trustees (phone number listed in our Club Directory distributed early Fall) or by emailing saratogaspringsfsc@verizon.net.

Revised and adopted by the SSFSC Board of Trustees on August, 2004.
